Got a great idea for an app?
This workshop will introduce participants to the world of mobile app development.
Participants will create mobile apps for Android based phones and tablets that use a variety of the capabilities of the phone [such as camera, accelerometer, GPS etc]. Participants are encouraged to bring their own Android phone or tablet [with an SD/microSD] card installed, to the workshop as you will develop some apps that you can take away with you.
There will be some mobile devices available to use if you do not have your own.
Each participant also needs to have a gmail account. If you do not have one, you can get one for free at gmail.com – please do this prior to the event.
What students will need to bring: An Android mobile phone if possible with an SD/microSD card [some are available for borrowing] and charger, each participant also requires a gmail account [with the username and password known].
